Chinese Minister of National Defense Liang Guanglie has toured the US Marine Corps Base at Camp Lejeune. Liang Guanglie and his 24-member delegation arrived by helicopter.

The soldiers who greeted them, led them on a tour. The delegation of top Chinese military officials examined armored vehicles, tanks and firearms.

Camp Lejeune is an important training base for US combat troops. It’s the first time it’s been opened to a senior official of the Chinese military. This is also the first visit to the US by a Chinese defence minister in as many as nine years.
