The manufacturer says there was no evidence of technical problems prior to the crash of the Russian-made passenger jet, including during its first flight. The remarks were made by the head of United Aircraft Corporation during a news conference in Jakarta on Friday.

Mikhail Pogosian, United Aircraft Corporation, said, "Before the moment of the plane’s collision with the mountain there was no information from the crew that was connected with any technical malfunctions on the plane. Equally immaculate was the first flight, which was made on May 9th, and there were no questions raised concerning the technical state of the plane and its functioning."
