The Nanjing Municipal government launched an initiative to renovate the historic buildings built during the Republic of China era from 1912 to 1949.

The Nanjing Municipal government launched an initiative to renovate the historic buildings built during the Republic of China era from 1912 to 1949. 

The government plans to renovate 100 structures over a 3-year period and transform the old buildings into important symbols of the city. A total of 10-million Yuan in funding was mobilized to support the program. The buildings to benefit include a former embassy, schools, ports and government buildings of the Republic of China.
