Heavy rainstorms have hit several areas across China. 4 were killed and another 4 have gone missing due to storms in Northwest China's Gansu Province.

The downpour has also caused damage to properties. Thunder and lightning hit Southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, creating a heavy traffic jam. In Linyun, a town in South China's Guangxi province, rainfall has topped 160mm, causing several collapses on parts of main roads and highways.

The weather forecasting agency in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has issued a blue rainstorm alert for the next two days. Heavy rainfall is predicted to continue in Chongqing for the next two days.
