The country is waiting to see who will claim the country's biggest jackpot ever. A lottery agency in Sanlitun, a popular shopping area in Beijing, has said 110 tickets have hit the biggest prize. If all of them belong to the same person, the lucky winner will be walking away with 570 million yuan.

Many are coming to try their luck after hearing the numbers for China's next lottery winner.Staff at lottery station say they still have no idea who the winner is.

Regular lottery buyers normally attend the game the "Dual Coloured Ball." The numbers on each ticket are comprised of 6 red balls and 1 blue ball. If all numbers are the same as those on the ticket, the customer will win first prize, earning them a piece of the pie. Since the prize money was kicked up on Wednesday, many more have joined the ranks of those hoping to catch a lucky break.

China's highest ever jackpot previously reached 1 billion yuan. The government began a welfare lottery in the late 1980s to raise money for public welfare projects, including building nursing homes for the old and child welfare institutions. In 2011, more than 127 billion yuan worth of lottery tickets were sold.
