Egyptians have concluded their two-day presidential run-off vote. The fierce election contest was fought between the Muslim Brotherhood's, Mohamed Mursi, and Mubarak's former prime minister, Ahmed Shafiq.

It's not clear who will become the new leader until Thursday when the electoral commission will officially announce the results. The run-off comes just two days after the Supreme Constitutional Court ruled the first round unconstitutional and ordered the parliament to be dissolved.

The new president will assume office without a new constitution in place. The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces will reportedly issue a supplementary constitutional declaration to make arrangements for the coming period.
