Japan says its Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Yuichiro Hata will visit Yasukuni Shrine on August 15th, the 67th anniversary of Japan's World War two surrender.

The minister says he will be making the visit as a private individual rather than in his political role.
