The Olympics may have ended, but of course they weren't London's only draw. Look at a couple sights you may not have heard of - the capital's biggest-ever street music competition and the strange and alternative fashions of Camden.

Over one hundred artists are entertaining the public at 35 different locations across London.

Many hope this will give them a shot at that big break that has launched the careers of so many legendary acts.

Joseph Gawley, a street performer, said, "I saw an advert online actually and I just thought it sounds like something I'd quite enjoy and pretty much forgot about it until I got the email saying I'd been short-listed and was like 'oh ok let's do this".

Now let's take a look at North London, and the town of Camden in particular - known as the city's major alternative fashion hub. There, half a million visitors come down each week to mingle with punks, crusties, hippies and Goths.

Theo Darchville, a tourist said, "Camden is a magical place, it's er, you never know what you can find, that's why I love coming down here."

Visitors can explore a vast array of trendy merchandise you're unlikely to find anywhere else. An absolute best seller is the orbit T-shirt - a neon coloured shirt with a foam neck-tube that lights up in nightclubs.

That may serve as a fitting metaphor. For many, Camden is right at the cutting edge of fashion - lighting the way for the alternative trends of the future.
