China's meteorological authorities forecast that the cold front sweeping North China will extend into the country's Central and Eastern regions, while causing snowfall in the Northeast.

Strong winds and falling temperatures will spread to regions along the Yellow, Huaihe and Yangtze rivers, along with heavy rainfall in some areas. Large parts of the country’s north and east will see sharp drops in temperatures of up to 10 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, parts of Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Jilin and Heilongjiang will witness snowfall and sleet on Sunday. Weather authorities are also warning of foggy weather in parts of Jiangsu, Hebei and Shandong provinces Sunday, calling drivers to pay more attention to safety.
