Japan's Kyodo News agency says some Japanese officials have disclosed that Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda will not hold bilateral talks at the leaders' meeting of the upcoming Asia-Europe Summit.

The two day Summit is set to open in Laos on Monday. Both China and Japan have believed that if the dispute over the Diaoyu Islands continues during the summit, the current situation will worsen.
