Have you ever heard of a dog that can do math? You are about to. In southern China, Guangdong province, a dog owner claims his dog can do addition.

The owner Shao says Lazai picked up simple numbers after just two months of training. Then he began teaching Lazai arithmetic. He once asked Lazai for the answer to "five multiplied by six", and Lazai surprised him by giving the exact answer.

Shao, Dog Owner, said, "I couldn't believe it. Lazai barked 23 times, and, after waiting for a little while, seven more times."

The dog's fame spread like wildfire. Now Lazai is a superstar within the neighborhood. Every time Shao walks his dog, people gather to ask Lazai simple math questions. By the time they return home, Lazai is sometimes too tired to even bark.

"I think the dog is clever. It seems that he knows what human beings are saying."

Because Lazai's talent has caught people's attention, Shao is thinking about taking Lazai on a tour to give shows and raise money. People can give however much money they think is fair. And the money will be raised for people from deprived backgrounds in China.
