A US drone attack has killed a top Taliban commander in northwest Pakistan, according to local media reports. At least 15 other people were killed and several others injured.

The strike in the Babar Ghar region of South Waziristan apparently involved five US drones firing eight missiles. There's been no official confirmation about the death of commander Wali Muhammad.

Sunday's strike is the third of its kind in Pakistan since the beginning of the year.
