Japan's major airline All Nippon Airways has grounded all 17 of its 787 planes for inspection, after one of its planes made an emergency landing in western Japan. Japan Airlines has followed suit, also cancelling its Boeing 787 flights scheduled to leave Japan on Wednesday due to safety concerns.

A Boeing 787 airplane made an emergency landing in Japan's Takamatsu Airport in Kagawa Prefecture on Wednesday morning after its body smoked, local media reported.

ANA's Dreamliner flight bound for Haneda Airport near Tokyo left Yamaguchi Airport in Western Japan but had to land at Takamatsu airport shortly after, when smoke was detected in the cockpit. Officials say all 129 passengers and 8 crews were evacuated safety. But the runways for Takamatsu airport are still closed.
