German fashion house Laurel introduced vibrant colours to the catwalk for the Autumn and Winter 2013 pret-a-porter womenswear collection.
Dresses and evening gowns in pink, coral red, and bright blue dominated the show while lead designer Elisabeth Schwaiger also introduced metallic-tinged dresses as well as a collection of fur coats and stoles as part of the "See-Feel-Love" campaign.
Another highlight is the much-loved regular at the capital’s fashion week, Michael Michalsky. The designer is celebrated as one of Germany's most influential designers and has been running his own label since 2006.
With sleek cuts and flowing lines, Michalsky’s 2013 collection showcased his traditional mix of streetwear with classic styles for men and women.
The result is a wearable collection that carries a social and political inspiration.
Michalsky said, "I develop my ideas with a lot of research, inspiration from colours. I always create a print. For example I have created a print for women that is printed on silk, like crushed newspapers, which I see as a message carrier like for when politicians or whoever, make promises to the masses."
Besides working as a fashion designer Michalsky runs his own design agency. He quotes his most important inspirations as being music and photography.
