South Korea's Chosun Daily says the Democratic People's Republic of Korea could hold its third nuclear test on Monday. South Korean president, Lee Myung-bak has ordered his government to be fully prepared.
According to the report, a South Korean government official says the DPRK's preparations for the nuclear test are in their final stages. Recent satellite photos show Pyongyang may have been sealing a tunnel into a mountainside, where the nuclear device could be detonated.
South Korea and the US are scheduled to hold a three-day joint anti-submarine exercise on Monday. Analysts say the drill is intended to serve as a strong warning to the DPRK, against holding a nuclear test.
