Chinese President meets Indian, Brazilian leaders

Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff on the sidelines of the 5th BRICS Summit in Durban, South Africa.

It's the first bilateral meeting between Chinese and Indian leaders since President Xi Jinping took office. President Xi said China and India will maintain frequent high-level exchanges to deepen mutual trust and cooperation. The two sides will also expand economic and security cooperation. President Xi also said he hopes the two countries can solve their boundary issue through dialogue, and maintain "peace and tranquility" on the border without affecting overall ties.

During his meeting with Brazilian President, Xi Jinping says China attaches great importance to the strategic partnership with the Latin America's largest country.He said China and Brazil should take advantage of their complimentary relations in trade and investment, and enhance cooperation in manufacturing, energy, mining, agriculture, communication and aviation.

President Xi said China will further strengthen financial cooperation with Brazil, by putting a local currency trade deal into action. The two leaders also have made progress in creating a China-Brazil Business Forum.
