Chinese President Xi Jinping received a warm welcome during his state visit to the Republic of Congo, the last stop of his African tour.

President Xi attended the completion ceremony of the China-Congo Friendship Hospital. He also visited the library of the Marien Ngouabi University.

Dieudonne Bakala, director of China-Congo Friendship Hospital, said, "It's a big surprise for us to have President Xi Jinping visiting us. We have always regarded China as our role model in economic development. We feel honored to have that, and the visit is a good thing for us."

Armand Moyikoua, president of Marien Ngouabi University, said, "We feel honored to have President Xi Jinping attending the completion ceremony of our school library. It was built under the cooperation of China and the Republic of Congo. It's an indication of the long-lasting friendship of the two countries."
