H7N9 cases rise to 14 in China

Shanghai health authorities have reported 3 new case of H7N9 bird flu, bringing the total number of infections to 14, with 5 deaths.

Of the 6 cases reported by Shanghai authorities, 4 have died. A 4-year-old child is among those who have taken ill. One of the three reported cases in Zhejiang Province has also died. Four cases in Jiangsu Province and one in Anhui are reported to be in a serious condition.
