Beijing finds 1st H7N9 bird flu case

Beijing has confirmed finding its first case of the H7N9 bird flu in humans.

The Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention said the infected is a 7-year-old girl, who is now being treated in Beijing Ditan Hospital.

She is said to be in a stable condition. The girl’s parents are in the live poultry trade business, but have not shown any signs of infection.
