Relatives of the Chinese student killed in the Boston Marathon bombings, Lu Lingzi, have arrived at Boston Logan International Airport. Chinese Ambassador to the United States Cui Tiankai met them at the airport and expressed condolences.

Cui Tiankai said, "The United States takes the event seriously. The vice-chancellor of Boston University has also come to the airport to receive the relatives. We'll try our best to properly deal with the aftermath. I have already conveyed to the relatives the condolences from President Xi Jinping and staff of the Chinese Embassy."

Boston University says they will fully respect the wishes of the relatives. The April 15th blast at the finish line of the Marathon killed three people. Chinese President Xi Jinping instructed the Foreign Ministry, the Embassy to the United States and the Consulate General in New York to do everything possible to deal with the aftermath and arrange treatment for the injured student, Zhou Danling. The US has promised to provide all necessary help.
