In the wake of the Lushan earthquake, which hit Sichuan on Saturday, the relocation of victims has become a major concern. We take you now to one of the settlements in Lushan County, to see how people are coping in the aftermath of the deadly quake.

Re-fitted to shelter those in need.

In Lushan county, this stadium has already become the biggest temporary settlement. With over 100 tents, the stadium has become home to over 2,000 people.

Despite memories of the quake still fresh and the limited space, smiles can be seen on the victims’ faces.

Quake victims said, "Everything has gone pretty well here. I feel very satisfied."

"It’s very crowded."

"It’s great to stay here. The whole nation supports us, we will overcome difficulties and rebuild our homes."

And an official from the Lushan county tells us that there are more settlements here in the county.

A local official said, "We have about 10 settlements as big as this one. And we also have about 20 separate settlements. In total, we have relocated about 120,000 people in these settlements.

Food has become another priority for people here.

In Lushan county, quake victims have received donations of instant noodles and drinks from across the country. Locals and volunteers also offer spicy food, catering to people’s tastes.

In quake-hit areas, a large number of schools, stadiums or even open playgrounds have been made into temporary settlements for quake victims.

People here have been buoyed by the aid sent from across the country. The song "Don’t Cry Lushan", written by this teacher, symbolizes the hope of people here.
