China, Pakistan vow to deepen strategic cooperation

China and Pakistan have agreed to cement their strategic partnership and deepen comprehensive cooperation in various areas, in a joint statement issued during Chinese Premier Li Keqiang's visit to the country.

It says China reaffirms its relationship with Pakistan is a foreign policy priority. It also appreciates Pakistan's long-time support on issues concerning China's core interests.

The two sides have agreed to jointly develop economic ties and vowed to strengthen cooperation in such fields as defense and security, culture, aviation and aerospace.
