The 12th Fortune Global Forum has closed in southwest China's city of Chengdu. On its third and final day, a series of sub forums were held. Topics included economic growth in the Asia-Pacific, the future of China's rural areas, climate change and food safety.

Search engine giant Baidu's CEO Li Yanhong and basketball-star-turned-philanthropist Yao Ming spoke at the forum. During the 3-day forum, 74 investment projects were signed by multinational companies in the city, with an investment volume of more than 18 billion US dollars. This is the fourth time the annual forum has been held in China.
