David Beckham has continued his second ambassadorial trip to China by making a short visit to Shanghai Shenxin Football Club.
Hours before his arrival, fans and the media gathered at the club's training base in a suburb of Shanghai. Beckham and his entourage arrived after a one-and-a-half day visit in Nanjing, the capital of China's Jiangsu province.

This is Beck's second trip to promote the sport after he was named the global Ambassador of Chinese football. The authorities hope Beckham will help boost soccer's appeal in the country, which is trying to clean up its image by clamping down on corruption following a series of match-fixing scandals.
"To have fundamental change on China's football, we need good coaches and good players, such as Lippi, Eriksson and the player like Drogba because they can demonstrate to us the meaning and content of football. With David Beckham's promotion and the practice of Drogba, our players can really learn the true meaning of football and this is really important." Zhu Jiong, Shanghai Shenxin Manager said.
