The new list of China's hottest cities comes out. On Monday, ChinaWeatherTV released the new top 4 "furnace cities" in China based on 30 years of data.

Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province in Southeast China has been crowned the hottest city. It is followed by Chongqing in the west, Hangzhou in the east and Haikou in the south.

Nanjing, one of the previous top 4 "furnace cities", is off the list this time, placing only 14th. Experts say the former standard using just high temperatures to evaluate "furnace cities" was improper. Humidity, duration of high temperatures and other factors also affect how hot people feel.
