To no one's surprise, Team China was rock solid again in the diving events...bring home two more gold medals, to make it 5 out of 6 so far at this year's World's Championships. It was oh so close to only being one however, as He Zi eeked out an extremely close win in the women's 1-meter springboard.

In the women's 1m springboard, He Zi and her compatriot Wang Nan would duel with Tania Cagnotto of Italy for the title. A strong start for He saw her open up an early lead.
However, the Italian would take things over and lead heading into the final dive...poised to pull off the upset.

But on her final dive, He would step up in a big way...putting down a near perfect dive to overtake her Italian rival and win the gold with the highest scoring effort of the final. He, winning by .10 points...while Wang Han took the bronze.
