One male and two female Chinese nationals were killed in an apartment in central Kabul. Local police are still searching for one final missing person after three bodies were discovered dead on Thursday.

Another Chinese male was found after the attack and transported to safety on Friday. Investigators have not yet determined the motive for the deadly attack.

Some local media reported that the victims had had an argument with several Afghan workers, which might have led to the killings. The incident took place on the first day of the Eid al-Fitr festival, which marks the end of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.
