NBA star Jeremy Lin opened a training camp at the Wukesong Stadium in Beijing earlier today. Around 60 of Chinese mainland's up and coming young players joined the clinic run by the Houston Rockets point guard.
Lin arrived in Beijing over the weekend after visiting Shanghai and Tianjin earlier in the week. This is the second time the NBA player has visited Beijing, having also visited the Chinese capital last year. He signed a three-year 25 million US dollar deal with the Houston Rockets following a 2011-12 season with the Knicks. However, he averaged just 13.4 points and 6 assists for the Rockets, far below what many of the fans and media expected of him. But the 25-year-old said he was not overly concerned by rumours of him possibly being traded. Lin's new teammate, Dwight Howard who signed with Rockets last month, is also visiting China at the moment. The point guard believes he can form a strong combination with the Rockets newly signed centre.
