Xi says China-Mexico relations have entered a new phase, and that the two countries should continue to boost bilateral investment and economic cooperation. He says the two governments should begin negotiations on the Sino-Mexican investment fund, and work together to build the Sino-Latin Cooperation Forum as soon as possible.

Echoing Xi's view, Enrique Pena Nieto says the consensus reached by the two leaders in June is now being implemented carefully in Mexico. He says Mexico welcomes more investment from Chinese companies, to help with infrastructure construction, and that the two sides will expand bilateral trade.

The two leaders also exchanged views on the revival of the global economy and improving the status of emerging markets.
