Xi Jinping meets Malaysia's Supreme Head of State

Xi Jinping has hailed the importance of the China-Malaysia relationship, saying the two countries have decided to further strengthen bilateral ties.

Xi Jinping made the comments when meeting with the Malaysian Supreme Head of State "Andul Halim Mu'adzam Shah". Xi Jinping said China and Malaysia have developed steady relations since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1974.

Malaysia has become China's biggest ASEAN trading partner. The Malaysian Supreme Head of State said the two countries enjoy a deep traditional friendship and solid mutual trust. He added that China's economic development and potential has injected strong impetus into the global economy.
