If you came of age in the 1980s and 90s and liked your music loud, Metallica probably ranks high on your list. If so, you'll be pleased to hear that the band have released a new movie, called "Metallica: Through The Never." Drummer Lars Ulrich has been in London on a promotional tour for this experimental new film.

(L-R) Kirk Hammet, guests and Lars Ulrich attend the 'Metallica Through The Never' Paris Premiere at Le Grand Rex on October 8, 2013 in Paris, France.

A riot in the streets, a public hanging, bloody handprints, car crashes, a police officer being drowned and giant coffins above the stage: this is not your average concert movie.

Directed by Nimrod Antal and released by Picturehouse, "Metallica: Through The Never" stars young "Chronicle" actor Dane DeHaan as a member of the band's road crew, sent on a special mission.

His quest is to recover a broken-down truck and a secret package for the band during a concert.

US hard rock band Metallica guitar player Kirk Hammet (R) and drummer Lars ulrich (G) attend a meeting with the public to present the movie 'Metallica through the never', on October 8, 2013.

The movie is being released exclusively on IMAX.

"Well obviously when you are making a film of this scale you want to have songs that people know, you are not going to play all the obscure songs from the cover album or from the back end of Reload or whatever. You're gonna play songs that people know." Lars Ulrich, drummer of Metallica said.

"Metallica: Through The Never" is out in theaters now in the US and the UK.
