Chinese premier Li Keqiang has met with US Secretary of State John Kerry at the ASEAN summit in Brunei. Li Keqiang said China and the US are establishing a new type of relationship, which is important for developing steady and healthy bilateral ties.

Chinese premier Li Keqiang has met with US Secretary of State John Kerry at the ASEAN summit in Brunei. 

Li Keqiang says China hopes to see the US relax its restriction on high-tech exports to China. He also said that China is closely following the US debt-ceiling negotiations.

Li Keqiang added that China is willing to work with the US to maintain international peace and stability.

Kerry said China is an important partner to the US and President Barack Obama has attached great importance to promoting bilateral ties and cooperation.
