Despite slowed growth in China's retail space, the world's biggest retailer Wal-Mart announced plans on Tuesday to open up 110 new facilities in China in the next three years. Consumers will soon see Walmart's shops even in China's 2nd-tier and third-tier cities.

The retail giant's CEO Mike Duke told BizAsia exclusively that this plan represents the company's fresh efforts in exploring new business opportunities in China's urbanization plan.
