Some of the best swimmers from around the world...have arrived in Beijing ahead of the FINA Short Course World Cup stop here in the Capital. The leg is the eighth and final of the series and will go Wednesday and Thursday at the Water Cube.

Local favorite Ning Zetao, who holds the Asian record in the 50-meter and 100-meter freestyle, will swim the 50-meter free at home. Hungarian swimmer Katinka Hosszu will compete in ten events. She will hope to add to her success after winning the 200-meter and 400-meter individual medley at the World championships earlier this year.

Unfortunately for Chinese fans, two-time Olympic champion Ye Shiwen, is expected to miss the meet due to illness as will fellow Olympic star Sun Yang, who has been suspended by the team after his driving without a license run-in with police.
