CBA: Guangdong wins six straight

The sixth round of CBA saw the defending champions, the Guangdong Southern Tigers, host the Zhejiang Golden Bulls.

And Guangdong stormed a 9-2 lead early on. Their star center Yi Jianlian, who scored a total of 18 points, dominant in this one as he stole the ball and finished with a slam, leading Guangdong to 28 point to 17 lead in the first quarter.

The Golden Bulls came back in the second quarter. Jerel Mcneal with this shot from the land beyond.

And Ding Jinhui, would add another to trim the points margin for the Bulls.

But the Southern Tigers soon stopped Zhejiang’s momentum, extending their lead to 13 points by half time.

The reigning champions would keep their double-digit advantage after the break. This two pointer from Chen Jianghua helped Guangdong take a 17-point-lead. And they went on to collect their sixth successive victory, winning by 90 points to 85 over Zhejiang.
