CBA: Beijing lose to Guangsha 94-97

Beijing Ducks were visiting the Guangsha Lions, Guangzha starting strongly with several three’s from Jonathan Gibson.

The Ducks regained themselves in the second quarter, Li Gen’s 10 straight points cutting the deficit for the away side. Li collected a game high 30 points. This two pointer from Stephon Marbury, moving Beijing within nine points.

Gibson, though, who collected 26 points in total, took over the first quarter. This free throw sealing the victory for Guangsha, as Beijing failed to grab their last chance. The Ducks with their first loss of the season, losing by 3 points.

In other matches, Shanghai eased past Jiangsu by 84 points to 78, to stay in third place, Xinjiang beat Qingdao by 32 points, Liaoning defeated Jilin 114 to 89, Shandong were 8 points better than Foshan, while Fujian cruised past Bayi 109-104.
