18 players will take part in the Northwestern Mutual World Challenge. The field of features 10 of the top 20 in last season's FedExCup standings, the world No. 1 Tiger Woods is the tournament host, while Graeme McDowell is the defending champion. And while both are looking forward to this week, they each are also keeping an eye on next year's Ryder Cup at Gleneagles in Scotland.

"Yeah, I'm looking forward to the major championship venues this year. They have set up well for me over the years and I look forward to it and same with Ryder Cup at the end of the season. I think it's going to be fun to go over there and try and get the Cup back. You know, I've never played Gleneagles, I've never been to that golf course or seen that venue before. I don't know if any of the American guys have or have not. I think most of the European guys who are at the top, I think they have played it in a tournament or two but I don't think most of us have." said Tiger Woods, World No.1.

"Of course it is on my radar, you know I'd say it is obviously one of my goals is to be fresh for the FedEx Playoffs but my, you know, one of my huge goals next year is to be fresh for right after the FedEx Playoffs, hopefully at Gleneagles in Scotland, the Ryder Cup. I want to be, I want to play my fourth Ryder Cup next year desperately and they've been the three greatest experiences of my career so far, my three Ryder Cups are definitely the three best weeks of my life as a golfer so I want that fourth." said Graeme Mcdowell, Mutual World Challenge Defending Champion.
