The Guangdong Southern Tigers consolidate their hold on first position in the CBA with a routine win over the Guangsha Lions.

Guangsha playing nice early on. Jonathan Gibson makes the layup and gives the Lions a 7-2 lead. Gibson scored 23 on the night.

Guangdong answered back with a 14-2 run though Zhu Fangyu scores under the basket to push the Southern Tigers in front.

Zhu finished with 15 points overall. He hits the three to give Guangdong a 7-point lead late in the opening quarter.

The 8-time champions kept it up, Liu Xiaoyu scores from downtown. The visitors now ahead by eight.

Guangdong assumed total control after the half-time, Yi Jianlian proves tough in the paint, and helps the Southern Tigers extend the lead to 15 early in the third quarter, Yi scored 28 on the night.

Following the lead of Yi, Guangdong went up 25 late in the period, and eased to a 113-88 win at Guangsha.
