In the women's 3,000-meter relay in the short track speed skating, there was shock and disappointment for China. The PRC looking to defend their title from four years ago, but it wasn't to be.

The Chinese and South Korean teams battled back and forth in the race, as expected, until the ROK skaters squeaked through at the line to snatch up the gold.

China thought they had silver, but after the contest they were penalized for an illegal exchange - a reversal of what happened in Vancouver in 2010 - so that means the silver went to Canada, while Italy ended up with bronze.
