NPC deputies arrive in Beijing

All deputies to the National People's Congress have arrived in Beijing for their annual session which starts on March 5. The deputies said the Communist Party's Central Committee meeting in November provided a blueprint for comprehensively deepening reform.

"I am a deputy from the grass-roots level. People are looking forward to sharing the fruits of deepening reform and opening up," said Yi Yongchun, NPC deputy from Inner Mongolia.

"I hope our country can become stronger and stronger," said Jiang Lan, NPC deputy from Inner Mongolia.

"I hope that this year’s NPC session will introduce more specific and better measures and policies that can lay a good foundation for the beginning of deeper reforms, and seek better welfare for the people," said Jian Qin, NPC deputy from Sichuan Province.
