Things in the Bundesliga are starting to wind down, that is because the defending champions -- Bayern Munich are miles in front of the rest.

And the Bavarians were looking to clinch the title in record time on Saturday in just 26 games, but they needed to beat Mainz, and hope Dortmund and Schalke both dropped points.

This game would remain scoreless till late. Mario Goetze whipping this one in and it’s Bastian Schweinstager who gets his head on it, on the run. That making it 1-0 with less than 10 minutes left in the game.

And they would seal the win a few minutes later, the defender failing to clear, Franck Ribery taking his time, sliding the ball to Goetze who makes no mistake. Bayern winning 2-0, and at this point they have one hand on the trophy, depending on Dortmund and Schalke’s results.

BVB sitting second in table with 51 points

The former were at Hannover, and last year’s Champions League runner’s would open the scoring before halftime. Mats Hummels poking home this cross in the area. (Replay) The hosts claiming off-side, but the replay shows the defender’s keeping him on. And the score is 1-nil Dortmund.

Then after the restart they would double their lead, Robert Lewandoski cuting inside and beating one, two, three, four defenders before slotting it home to make it 2-nil.

That is worthy of a celebration from Jurgen Klopp who is gazelle like on the touchlines.

Dortmund then extended their lead in stoppage time, as Marco Reus beats the offside trap and rounds the keeper and scores from a tight angle. 3-nil the final score, and that win means Bayern will have to wait before they can clinch the title.
