The San Antonio Spurs were hoping 13 would be their lucky number, as the Western Conference leaders looked to extend their longest winning streak in seven years. But the Golden State Warriors have been plenty hot themselves, and were hoping their solid shooting would prove to be the Achilles Heel for the visitors.

There’s lots of pre-game excitement in Oakland even as San Antonio takes the court without the resting Tim Duncan. That doesn’t slow them down at the start but Steph Curry drains a trey from the wing to cut the deficit to three early in the first quarter and he would finish with 20 points.

The Spurs use their inside presence to widen the gap in the second Q as Tiago Splitter drives the lane for the hoop and the harm. The Brazilian on his way to 17 points and 14 rebounds.

After half-time, it’s Golden State’s turn to go big in the paint as Andrew Bogut gets the kiss off the glass, and his only basket of the night gives the Warriors a one-point lead.

But the visitors won’t stay down for long. Tony Parker dribbling into the paint, before he buries the J. Team-high 20 points for the French floor general.

Defense brings the Dubs back again, Jordan Crawford with the theft and he goes coast-to-coast before banking in the lay-up. Deficit trimmed to threE, So that means Gregg Popovich is NOT a happy coach.

Maybe he would smile later, as his team pulls away in the fourth quarter. Splitter snatching the ball from Klay Thompson and then Parker’s gonna locate an unguarded Danny Green on the other end. Golden State making the mistake of leaving him open outside the arc and the Spurs go on to win this contest by nine points.
