Radcliffe is set to make his third visit to Broadway when he stars in "The Cripple of Inishman". The show played London last year with the same cast, and is making its Broadway debut at the Cort Theater on April 20th.

Daniel continues playing the young cripple Billy in the Broadway production of Irish playwright Martin McDonagh’s black comedy. Radcliffe says he no longer needs to sing and dance continuously for two and a half hours, but performing a Martin McDonagh is not a much easier task.

Actor Daniel Radcliffe said, "I still maintain that musical theater is still the hardest job any actor can do if they really want to work hard. But it makes your job as actor so infinitely easier when the play is so good. This play achieves something that is so hard to do which is that it’s tragic at times and sad and moving and beautiful. But you will be laughing from your belly the whole way through."

This comic masterpiece examines an ordinary coming of age in extraordinary circumstances. But while the play has lots of humor, Radcliffe plays it straight.

"I think the thing to do is not focus on the humor- particularly Billy’s character, Johnnypatteenmike, played by Pat Shortt has some bits that are like jokes. They come in and they are very funny bits. Billy’s character is less like that. He’s more about just being real. If you’re real and you’re in the moment and just talking and reacting with the other actors on stage, there is - the writing is so beautiful and subtly funny that laughs come," Daniel said.

"The Cripple of Inishmaan" comes to Broadway after its sold-out run last summer at the West End’s Noel Coward Theatre.
