Fans gather in Rome for premiere of 'Spider-Man' sequel

The actors Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone trekked to Rome on Monday to promote their new movie "The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro" in which they star. The couple were greeted by enthusiastic fans as they enjoyed La Dolce Vita or "the good life" of Rome.

Hundreds of fans gathered in central Rome to try to catch a glimpse of actor Andrew Garfield, who plays the lead role of Peter Paker in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2". Andrew and co-star Emma Stone signed autographs for their rowdy fans.

The real-life couple arrived at the red carpet at Cinema Moderno. Garfield arrived on a red bus with a group of young children wearing a Spider-man mask.

Stone arrived later wearing a stunning beaded dress.

Stone plays the role of Spiderman's love interest, Gwen Stacy in the movie. The couple met on the set of first "The Amazing Spider-Man" in 2011.

The couple took a sightseeing tour across the streets of Rome on Sunday, riding an Italian Vespa. They called it the perfect way to discover the eternal city.

Dane DeHaan plays the role of Harry Osborn in the movie said that one of the best gifts of playing in such a blockbuster is the affectionate fan-base.

"The Amazing Spiderman 2" swings into U.S. theaters on May 2 and China cinemas on May 4th.
