In Libya, a special committee has begun work to draft a new constitution. The new document is being billed as a potential milestone in the country's bumpy transformation since the 2011 fall of Muammar Gaddafi.

47 committee members have been elected, representing all regions across the country. They have 120 days to draft a constitution, which will include their decision on what political system Libya should adopt.

Analysts says the process could take much longer, given continuing chaos in the country and growing tribal and political divisions. Once drawn up, the draft will be put to a national referendum.
