At the iHeart Radio Awards in Los Angeles, Rihanna swept up the prizes at a low-key show that gave fan favorites their proper due.

The Barbadian singer appears in a lacy see-through dress to accept four prizes, including song of the year for "Stay," hip-hop/R&B song of the year for "Pour It Up," and the biggest prize of the night, artist of the year.

"Shout out to everybody who's ever worked on my project. I know I'm a pain in the ass, but it's worth it, because now we've got the biggest award of the night, and this is to you, the fans. All the other artists who have inspired me and paved the way for me to do this, I love you guys, thank you so much." Rihanna said.

Other big winners include Miami rapper Pitbull, who wins for best collaboration with Ke$ha on the song "Timber." Country singer Blake Shelton picks up the prize for country song of the year for "Boys 'Round Here," while Imagine Dragons gets best alternative song of the year for "Demons."

The other big prize of the night includes the "Innovator" award, which goes to Pharrell Williams. He performs a medley of his several hits from the past year, including "Happy" from the animated film "Despicable Me 2."

41-year-old Pharrell has been an influential producer, songwriter and vocalist since the 1990s, and takes the chance to thank radio programmers that have helped his career get off the ground.

"Thank you to all the folks at radio that took a chance on songs like 'Happy,' 'Get Lucky,' 'Blurred Lines,' and 'Hollaback,' and 'Hella Good,' and thank you to all the program directors, and thank you to all the promotional staffs that we work with over the years that had to work really hard to get these songs on air." Pharrell Williams, singer said.

Highlights of the evening included several A-list performances, with the first single from late singer Michael Jackson's posthumous album making its debut. Hip-hop star Usher dances to "Love Never Felt So Good," originally written and recorded by Jackson in 1983. The song is the debut single for "Xscape," which will be released on May 13th by Epic Records in partnership with Jackson's estate. The album will feature eight previously unreleased songs recorded between 1983 and 1999.

The iHeartRadio Awards was held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, which celebrates the year's biggest stars and pays tribute to the city's musical culture.
