Chinese transport Minister, Yang Chuantang, says Chinese search efforts will continue "uninterrupted". The minister says that so far, China has sent 18 ships and 8 planes to look for MH370 during the past 55 days. Yang says the Chinese government will continue to make maximum efforts in cooperating and assisting with the international search operation, and will boost its participation in the underwater search.

"For the sub-surface search during the next stage, China will further its active cooperation in the search.... we know very clearly next stage search will be even broader...make every possible effort for the search." Yang said.
