The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has advised that the search for missing Malaysia Flight MH370 can now be considered completed. In its professional judgement, it also says the Indian Ocean can now be discounted as the final resting place of MH370.

Meanwhile, the Joint Agency Coordination Center released a statement on Thursday, saying Bluefin-21 had completed its last mission searching in the vicinity of the acoustic signals detected in April.

They say the data from the mission advised that "no signs of aircraft debris have been found." For more, let's go to our correspondent Hannah Belcher in Sydney.
