In the NHL, a highly-anticipated Stanley Cup Final featuring the first cross-country clash for the title between the Los Angeles Kings and the New York Rangers has quickly gone from sizzle to fizzle.

The Blueshirts hoped returning to the Big Apple would help them get back into the series after two overtime losses on the West Coast but Game Three wasn't even close. LA won three-zero, and now have a three-zero lead in the match-up, so they're one step away from lifting the trophy.

Madison Square Garden hosting its first Stanley Cup Final game since New York last won the title twenty years ago, but Los Angeles go on the attack at the end of the first period, and Jeff Carter's shot slides through at the buzzer, putting the visitors in front one-zip. The Kings continuing to make magic in this series.

Then LA get a power play early in the second period, and Jake Muzzin's rocket finds the back of the net. That makes it two-nothing Kings and the fans at MSG are stunned.

The Rangers try to claw back but Brad Richards is denied by Jonathan Quick and so is Derick Brassard on the follow-up. Quick flashing the form that made him the Stanley Cup Final MVP two years ago.

Then with less than three minutes remaining in the middle period, LA break free for a two-on-one and Mike Richards increases the margin to three-zilch leaving the Blueshirts falling all over themselves.
