Although China did not qualify for the 2014 World Cup, the country’s stamp is on most of Brazil’s fan apparel and souvenirs. The variety of Chinese-made merchanise is huge, and it is another sign of the increasing trade levels between Brazil and China.

Vendors are betting Brazil will win its sixth World Cup trophy on home soil and have invested heavily on fan paraphernalia.

"We are expecting that with the Cup in Brazil sales will be better than in 2010 , at least fifty percent more than in the 2010 cup." Shop owner Eliete Oliveira said.

Headgear, wigs and all sorts of accessories for Brazilians to root for their national squad. The merchandise comes from China and is affordable.

For just two dollar fans can buy a flag a hat and a cup all made in China, which, according to shop owners, is supplying more than 80 percent of all the World Cup products.

Charles Tang, chairman of the Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce, says World Cup products are just a tiny example of the booming trade between the two countries .

"In 1999 trade between the giant of South America and the giant of Asia was only a mere 1.5 billion dollars. last year trade closed at 83. 3 billion dollars." Charles Tang, chairman of Brazil-China Chamber Of Commerce, said.

Brazil mainly buys manufactured goods from China like this huge variety of World Cup merchandise. This year, sales are expected to explode especially if Brazil reaches the final match of the competition.
